Marona Posey, an Alabama native and graduate of the University of Alabama, Birmingham School of Law, and the Novel Track program at SMU is a retired Attorney, Teacher and Medical Technologist, a mother and grandmother. She is an avid gardener and teaches art and painting at a local retirement center in Dallas, Texas where she and her husband live.
She writes novels about the South where she grew up, and Texas, her new love, strong characters, and adds history, romance, suspense, and families that are like yours!
Marona does seminars on “How to Write Your Memoirs” and “How to Write that Novel Inside of You.
Marona was a finalist in the 2010 Writer’s League of Texas for Mainstream Fiction for her first novel and a finalist in Narrative Non-fiction category for a short story that is part of her memoirs workbook, Reminisce and Write it Down. She won first place in the New Adult category in the Beverly Hills Book Awards for her novel Back For Tomorrow, part of her Look Away Dixieland series.
